We were honoured to be asked by Bushey Medical Centre to install the patient carparking area. The busy medical centre asked for 1,800 sqm of driveway to be completed as quickly as possible to minimise disruption to this vital community hub. We were only too happy to oblige, and the team worked hard to get groundworks and block paving completed, handing over new parking and disabled access within just 5 weeks.
It was important to the owner of this Southgate property that the new driveway preserved a tree planted by her father many decades ago. Working with great care, we installed Grey Regatta Trio sandstone by Brett, chosen to compliment the era the house. Charcoal edges were used to divide the driveway from the garden, and we installed a cast iron high-quality drain for maximum durability.
Car parking and entrance to this Stanmore property had previously been small and restricted, making life difficult for its elderly owners. We designed a brand-new driveway and garage entrance to maximise space and accessibility, incorporating bespoke 100mm shallow steps, and a streamlined drain and rainwater soakaway.
Having dug out, reinforced and installed drainage as required, we begin by laying a concrete and tarmac double base. It’s this ultra-strong foundation that ensures our gold standard Ronocrete resin bound driveways stand the test of time.
We mix your chosen Ronocrete system on site and apply using a high-quality clear resin binder. This coats the aggregate particles before laying, ensuring that the surface is Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS) compliant and able to tackle excess water in a sustainable and economical way.
With our installation complete, you simply need to sweep, or power wash your new driveway at least twice per year to prevent the growth of moss or algae on the fully bound surface.
Having dug out and reinforced as required, we begin by adding compacted sub-base materials to level any soft spots, install a membrane to stabilise the ground, and fit soakaway drainage.
We lay down a layer of sub-base materials to be spread and compacted before initial level checks are completed. Next comes a layer of course sand, before we lay block paving to your custom design and check for alignment.
Intricate details are checked including recess trays, drain and gully covers. Our team’s final task is Systems (SUDS) compliant.
